I got your email and decided to pop in and offer some advice.
Lets start with your board. Its too big, you have too many cat and not enough people using them. Your site looks empty right off the bat,
Second you have no nitch. I know your a kid so focus your board to people your own age.
Next you need information way come to your board? Answer that question and start adding stuff. Links to tackle shops, Dec, stockings, pond maps, other sites ect. Any articles I wrote or write for my board are fair game. I am giving you persmission to use them. Just remember to credit me please.
School do you know people that fish? Put up flyers if you can, talk to tackle shops, tell them you want to focus on kids fishing ask them to put up flyers and make hand outs or business cards with the forums info on it.
The fishing board, every one is a fishing board, where are you? Start local and expand when you get members.
Go ask admins of big boards if you can make a post about opening a kids fishing forum.
Interview good fisherman and tackle shop employees about fishing and write a article on it.
Have every member of your board you are friends with join as many boards as possible and place your forums link in their profile. This will help your search engines
